Location
With the aim of enhancing the constancy of the fans, and of rewarding the loyalty of its own public, the kermesse does confirm its prestigious location at UNIPOL Arena, one of the greatest indoor sportive multipurpose structures of Italy, located at Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna province.
Located in a strategical position, easily reachable from the principal highways ((the Casalecchio’s tollgate, junction of A1, A13 and A14 is 2 kilometers far away only), the structure is located in the middle of a very popular commercial site which includes megastores as IKEA, Leroy Merlin, UniEuro and the Shopville Gran Reno-Carrefour Center.
Disposing of a wide parking area hosting up to 3000 vehicles, it’s excellently served by public transports too. A suburban railway station (reachable with just 20 minutes from the main Central Station of Bologna), is located nearby the area of the structure, wich covers a space of 71.000 Mq.
Designed by architect Mauro Checcoli, olympic champion, the building covers a surface of 12.000 Mq and its height is of 30 Meters. The indoor, consisting of a unique indipendent space, displays like an arena of 120 x 45 Meters wich allows to set up variable spaces thanks to the mobility of the stands. A structure in line with the greatest musical bands of the World, able to host, in addition to sporting games of international level, musical events, exhibitions, congresses, cultural events, TV sets, etc. with modular settings up to hit a capacity of 18.000 people.
The architectural complex has hosted basket games of both Bologna’s official Teams, Fortitudo and Virtus, until it has become “home” of Bologna Basketball Virtus, basket team among the most succesfull and emblazoned italian and european ones.
But althought basketball represents the principal activity of this sports complex, it’s not the one at all: UNIPOL Arena in fact is also known for it has hosted the best bands and singers of the international theather and music scene plus, since March 26, 2010, it has become the new center of the most popular italian mineralogical show.

By car: from the highway is reachable travelling the A1, A13 and A14, leaving at the Casalecchio di Reno tollgate and going in from the exit 1 bis.
